What is NanoBrows?

Updated: Jul 9, 2024

Remember I told you how microblading was invented:

Then I explained how powder brows were born: https://www.mayarapacini.co/post/what-are-powder-brows

Well, now we know that microblading is done with a blade and ink originating from the Irezumi technique, and that powderbrows came from the evolution of the electric machine invented in 1891.

Today I want to talk about nanobrows, which is a mix of these two techniques. Nanobrows does strokes, just like microblading, but using the machine we use at powderbrows.

In nanobrows, each stroke is created with pixels (powderbrows pixels), resulting in a less aggressive stroke compared to the cutting motion used in microblading.

With NanoBrows, as the strokes are created with small dots, we can control how dark we want each stroke, and how thick too, so we can create dimension, and more accurately simulate a natural eyebrow.

So Microblading is better for small gaps and small asymmetry, while Nanobrows is better for those with little hair, as we can simulate and create strokes with dimension

No one knows for sure when this technique emerged, but it is certainly one of the most sought-after techniques nowadays.
